Another international success for Technical Park and its products. One of our major rides, the Flying Fury, won the European Star Awards 2014, bestowed by the Europe’s leading trade magazine Kirmes & Park Revue. Thanks to its success at Europark Milan and also at Tivoli Copenhagen, the Flying Fury was recognized as one of the best attractions in the European market.
The European Star Awards is an independent event taking place in the largest European Trade Exhibition, the EAS (Euro Attraction Show). This is one of the most important European tribute to supreme performances within the amusement industry: Technical Park has received the award for his flying ride on the 23rd of September, in a great ceremony at the Heineken Experience World, in Amsterdam.
Due to the slightly extended and somewhat changed independent trade jury, one eagerly awaited the results of this year’s judging: 32 jury members gave their votes in a completely independence way, among them coaster legend Dr. Werner Stengel and IAAPA-President Mario Mamon.
The award-winning ride, the Flying Fury, is an amazing interactive flying ride, consisting of a “T column” and 2 parallel arms. Interactivity is the key word of this system: the two vehicles can rotate independently 360° on the 3 main axes, and a joystick allows the riders to drive the movements making their own flight performance.
This active way to enjoy the flying ride is one of the Technical Park’s main features, involving the passengers in a new, engaging experience: they can drive “their way” and have an experience that is not common, unless to hire a real plane.
The Flying Fury isn’t our first flying ride to receive amazing reviews and welcoming: another flying ride, the Aerobat, had had a big success in both France and Turkey.
We are really proud of this great result, due to the advanced technology, the passion and the creativity which mostly marks our rides. We are also celebrating the Kirmes Star Award 2014 with a special deal: a Flying Fury available for a very special price. Don’t miss it!
